Ruberta Spring/Autumn ’18

28 October, 2017 — 4 November, 2017 at CARNE, Bogota

Ruberta Spring/Autumn ’18 is a collaborative event by Galería Agustina Ferreyra (Mexico City / San Juan), Lodos (Mexico City), Proyectos Ultravioleta (Guatemala City), CARNE (Bogota), and BWSMX (Mexico City). This iteration of Ruberta takes the format of an exhibition running parallel to the ArtBo fair, in the Carne Gallery headquarters in the Barrio Santa Fe, Bogotá.

The exhibition will include site-specific works and installations by artists Chelsea Culprit, David Escobar Parra, Adriana Martínez, Mariana Murcia, Jesús ¨Bubu¨ Negrón, Juan Sebastián Peláez, Santiago Pinyol, and Diego Salvador Ríos.

Ruberta Spring/Autumn ’18 borrows its name and spirit from the phenomenon of the fashion week, events which very much like an art fair last approximately one week, in which designers display their latest collections in runway shows to buyers and the media. These events in turn influence trends for the current and upcoming seasons.

With recent shifts in the global economy and climate, more and more designers are presenting inter-seasonal collections between the traditional Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons. These collections are usually more commercial than the main season collections and also help reduce the customer’s wait for new seasonal clothes.

Opening: Saturday, October 28th, 2017, from 10AM onwards.
Natural Selection Vol. 4 Party w/ Terremoto: 9PM.
